Company Daily Records (not recommended for PTSD patients or under 17.)

(According to  the Tall Commanche site)
March 1,
Large numbers of NVA had been gathering in the area with intentions of attacking Hai Lang, LZ Jane and the various highway bridges. C Company had been kept  busy with search and destroy missions in the villages between Highway 1 and the coast, as well as road and bridge security. The emphasis, according to the 2/5 Cav History (1968) "... was  placed on the enemy's food supply; having taken away his fortress, the Cavalrymen were now attempting to starve him out of the area entirely."
C 1/5 was used to air assault southeast of Quang Tri. We were in the rear of a NVA regiment battalions. The entire company was airmobiled onto one side of Highway 1.  Company A was used just south of the road for blocking positions. We went forward and ran into the 812th NVA regiment. Along with supporting helicopter gunships, we quickly destroyed this fighting unit.
